About

I am the Vice President of Allied Equipment, the nation’s largest manufacturer of CNG storage spheres, and an up and coming gas treating equipment manufacturer and operator.

This is my personal blog.  I greatly enjoy the work I do and the natural gas industry as a whole, but more importantly, I greatly enjoy business in general.  This blog will not be about my work but about the things I am most passionate about.  These are; Business, Faith, Leadership, and Productivity.  Occasionally I’ll write on topics that I feel will be beneficial to my readers but may not necessarily fit into one of the afore mentioned categories.  These posts will be found in Miscellany.

My mission is to create content that will be both beneficial and exciting.  If you are a person in a place of leadership or a person who strives to help their business achieve great success, then this blog is for you.  As an executive at work, or a father and husband at home, I am constantly leading others and feel it my duty to them to constantly research and study leadership so that I may provide the best service possible to those who have chosen to follow me.  Everyone is doing some sort of business everyday, and every action you take and choice you make requires a certain level of faith.  Increased productivity of course can allow you to achieve success at an accelerated rate.  I feel that these four things are essential to living a fulfilling and purposeful life.  This blog will be a community where ideas about these four areas of life can be shared and discussed.

I try to post three to four times a week as a minimum.  To make sure you don’t miss my newest posts, you can subscribe to my RSS or email.

My Biography

For some reason unknown to me, the desire to succeed and lead others has been very prominent in my life.  Whether it was running for class office or being an outspoken leader on my football teams growing up, I never could sit quietly and watch those around me fail because no one had the courage to stand up and steer the ship.  Thus was the case as a business student at Texas State University.  I soaked up leadership roles in every group, in every class, sometimes to my detriment.  Being a leader is hard.  This is why most other people will stand quietly with their head down and shuffle their feet around waiting for someone, anyone, to accept the leadership role.  To be a leader means you’re a person of action.

While in college I discovered an interest in alternative fuels and the energy markets in general.  After graduating I accepted yet another leadership role at an energy related company in West Texas.  We currently produce over 20% of the nation’s domestic oil supply right here in the Permian Basin.  So of course this was an ideal location for a person interested in energy.  I began my work at Allied Equipment in 2007.

In just a few years I was able to grow what was a side project of the company into a major operation.  Today we are the nation’s largest manufacturer of CNG storage spheres and have played a vital role in the advancement of Compressed Natural Gas as a transportation fuel.  After achieving success with the alternative fuels division, I moved into the Vice President role for the company as a whole, where I serve to this day.

I have always enjoyed writing and have written on several blogs as a guest blogger but have never written for my own blog until now.  I am also currently working on two books.  One is a Self-Improvement book and the other, a study guide for Christ Followers.

I have been married to my wife since 2007 and we have one son.  We live in the Permian Basin.  In my free time I enjoy writing, golfing, exercising, and hunting.  I am a member of Crossroads Fellowship and have served as a small group leader for the past 3 years.
